The BEST PSP Battery of 2025

For a while I have been having issues with my PSP batteries. Many of them were not holding the charge very well. Some of them were really terrible. I fully charged them and they lasted for like an hour. Previously, I have bought some replacement batteries but I wasn't happy with them either. They were bit better in terms of holding charge but I felt something was off. I had my suspicion but I wasn't certain until I have seen the Total Kommando YT video

I appreciate this guy. He is taking his job as a YouTube PSP aficionado very seriously :-) I mean just look at his videos. It is very impressive what is he doing in them. Like this one - The Ultimate Battery Test. Beware, because there is no clickbait in this statement. AT ALL !! It is, indeed, The Ultimate Test.

My main method would primarily consist of guestimation in this kind of scenario. His main method is fricking based on empirical evidence! He spent $490, he bought a bunch of batteries, from different sellers, with different brands, with different price points, with different capacities and he was comparing and RIPPING THEM APART one by one :-) Very impressive if you ask me

And the winner ? OSTENT batteries. They are offering 1400,mAh, 1800mAh, 2200mAh and 2500mAh variants and these are the REAL capacities. Not some made up bs. Bunch of other brands are doing silly tricks like putting fake capacity writings on the back shell whereas when you crack them open, you gonna find out, your shinny new 3600mAh battery is actually only 850mAh

I have bought 2500mAh for my PSP 1000 and 1800mAh for my PSP 3000. I have tested them with my guestimation methods (playing God of War for hour and a half and seeing how much the battery went down) and my findings are in accordance with his empirical methods. They are indeed the BEST PSP batteries money can buy in 2025 (and beyond I believe). And I am not saying it just because I want to push on you some affiliate links. No, quite opposite, my intentions are purely altruistic and these links are not affiliate. I am telling it to you because I know, you, same as me, still love your PSP and you want to secure for it the best life possible and this is your chance. As you can see Total Kommando numbers are very solid. These numbers were tested with GTA LCS game and average playtime of the smallest 1400mAh was 4 hours 4 minutes and the larger 2200mAh was 6 hours 17 minutes. His best number, 7 hours 41 minutes was with PSP 3000 and using 2200mAh phat battery. It fits in normally but you need the extended battery cover if you also don't want to have it exposed. It is being sold for like $2.5 and it doesn't really get in a way whilst holding on to PSP. I think this solution is really solid.

And now to the final conclusion - Ostent batteries are really the best. They are being solid not for dirt cheap, but they are not overpriced either. If you wanna save few $, you might go for some cheaper brand but I wouldn't recommend it. I think your PSP deserves the best battery on the market and that is Ostent as of December 2025. The 1800mAh is being sold right now on AliExpress for around $10.5, 2200mAh for $12.80 and 2500mAh for $14.40. These are the FAIR prices for the real deal. I have seen already plenty resellers that are selling them for way more than these numbers so please be advised these are these are the prices straight from the source. On this exact post it shows shipping is $1.72 so I wouldn't pay more than $17 for the largest 2500mAh
